Who We Are

Avici is a self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet with cards, accounts and an assistant called Avi, operated by Avici Inc, a Delaware corporation in the United States. Avici Inc is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. By using Avici you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

• Account and contact information: such as your email address, phone number, and the IP address and device information of the devices you use.

• Transaction information: such as wallet addresses, transaction identifiers and amounts, token balances, and, if you opt in to those services, card spending, top-ups and withdrawals, and onramp and offramp activity.

• Identity verification: using the wallet, swaps, trading and Avi needs no identity verification. Only if you choose a card or an account do we ask you to verify your profile; then our verification provider collects your identity documents, personal details, address, tax identifiers where required, a selfie and liveness check, and your answers to its questionnaire directly from you and holds them under its own privacy notice. We do not store this information in our systems; we receive the outcome of the verification, and we can view the underlying information through the provider when a legal or security check requires it.

• Connected services: if you connect a service to Avi, such as your Google account, the information described under Connected Services and Google User Data.

• Avi conversations: your conversations with Avi and the notes it keeps for you.

• Usage information: how you use the app, and crash and error reports.

How We Use Your Information

• To create, secure and operate your account and the wallet, card, account and assistant features you choose to use.

• To verify your identity and to meet anti-money-laundering, sanctions and other legal obligations, including ongoing monitoring.

• To communicate with you about the service, and, with your consent, about offers.

• To prevent fraud and abuse, keep the service secure, and understand how it is used so we can improve it.

• To comply with the law and protect the rights and safety of you, us and others.

How We Share Your Information

We share personal information with third parties that provide services on our behalf or help us operate Avici, such as identity verification and compliance, card issuing and payment networks, onramp and offramp, authentication and wallet infrastructure, hosting and databases, email delivery, analytics and error reporting, and AI and model providers that power Avi. Each receives the information needed for its role.

Our identity verification provider collects and uses biometric information, including facial data from your identity document and your live image, to verify that you are who you say you are, and keeps it under its own privacy notice, which you see when you start a verification. The verification outcome, and the identity details our card and onramp partners need to provide their service and meet their own legal obligations, are shared with those partners.

We disclose information to law enforcement, regulators or courts when required by law, in the interests of public safety, or to enforce our Terms of Service, and in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Where Your Information Is Processed

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including countries where we or our service providers operate and whose privacy laws may differ from your own. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we rely on the mechanisms it provides.

Connected Services and Google User Data

Avi, the assistant inside Avici, can read services you choose to connect, such as your Google account. You connect a service yourself from Avi's Connections page and can disconnect it there at any time. Nothing is connected unless you do this.

What we access from Google, and why

• Gmail (read only). To answer your questions about your mail, notice things with a date or time on them such as travel, bills and deliveries so Avi can remind you, find recent items that still need your attention, and help you spot subscriptions you no longer use. Avi can prepare an email draft and open it in the Gmail app for you to review and send. Avici never sends email from your account.

• Google Calendar (read only). To answer your questions about your schedule and to time reminders around your events.

• Google Sheets. To read a sheet you point Avi to and to add rows to it when you ask. Avi does not delete or rewrite your existing cells.

• Google Contacts (read only). To read names and birthdays, so Avi can remind you of birthdays and address a draft to a person you name.

Avi reads these services when you ask it something and periodically in the background while a service stays connected, looking only at what is new since it last looked.

How we store it

The access token Google gives us is stored encrypted and used only to serve your account. We do not keep copies of your mailbox, calendar, sheets or contacts. We keep the notes Avi derives and shows you, such as a reminder about an upcoming flight, and the notes you choose to keep in Avi's memory, which you can see and delete in the app; excerpts Avi read may also appear in the operational records described under Data Retention.

How we use AI

To produce Avi's answers and reminders, the relevant content is sent to the third-party providers that run Avi's models and used only to generate the response. We work only with providers whose terms do not allow your content to be used to train their models and that either keep nothing or keep it only briefly for security and abuse monitoring before deleting it. We instruct our routing to enforce that choice on every request. We cannot inspect those providers' systems ourselves, so we rely on their policies and contracts and will not work with a provider that does not meet them.

If you choose to connect your own AI account to Avi, such as signing in with your ChatGPT or Claude subscription, or if you consent to a specific provider when Avi asks, your content goes to that provider under its own terms, which may allow it to keep or use the data. That is your choice: a connected account is shown on Avi's Connections page, and you can disconnect it there. The commitments above apply to the providers we choose, not to one you bring.

Google user data is not used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. Avi is designed to treat content from your connected services as information rather than instructions, so that text in an email asking it to do something is not acted on.

Limited Use

Avici's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your controls

Disconnect Google from Avi's Connections page at any time; we delete the stored token, and Avi stops reading the service. You can also revoke Avici's access from your Google Account permissions page. Notes Avi derived stay visible in the app until you delete them or delete your account. Deleting your Avici account deletes the above, except records we must keep by law and operational records kept for a short period.

Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service to you and for the periods the law requires. Identity verification, KYC and anti-money-laundering records are held by our verification provider for the duration of our relationship with you and for the period required by applicable law after it ends, typically five years. Transaction and card records are kept as financial regulations require. Connected-service tokens are kept until you disconnect the service or delete your account, the notes Avi derives until you delete them or delete your account, and records we keep to operate and debug Avi only for a short period. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous. Records on public blockchains are outside our control and cannot be erased.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent where processing rests on it, including for connected services and marketing. You can exercise these rights by contacting support@avici.club or, for many of them, from inside the app, including deleting your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we may keep information we are required to keep by law. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority where you live. Avici is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, and we limit access to those who need it. Access tokens for connected services are stored encrypted. Your wallet is self-custodial: it is designed so that Avici cannot read or use your keys. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Face ID and other device biometrics run locally on your phone and are handled by iOS or Android. Avici does not collect, store, process, transmit or share facial images, biometric templates or any representation of your face through them; it only receives whether the local check succeeded. Biometric information collected during identity verification is handled by our verification provider as described under How We Share Your Information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top, and we will let you know in the app when a change materially affects how we use your information, including how Avi uses Google user data.
